The Ville to Ville Craft Brew Relay celebrates the beautiful region from Asheville, NC to Greenville, SC. It is a 72-mile team running event traveling from the peaks to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, through local craft breweries, and into quaint southern towns.
The course is hilly, both up and down. The race will begin at Highland Brewing Co. in Asheville, NC and travel through Hendersonville, NC and Travelers Rest, SC, with stops at Southern Appalachian Brewery and Swamp Rabbit Brewery. Over the course of the day, there are 11 transitions where the next member of your team will start. Teams will finish near downtown Greenville with a celebration featuring a variety of local brewers, music, and food trucks. Please remember that this is an open roads course, so additional safety precautions for each team will be required.
The first flight of 6-member teams will start the relay around 5:00 am. Over the next few hours, additional teams will depart on their journey through the Carolinas. Each team will consist of six runners who will split 12 legs ranging from 3-9 miles (ultra teams will consist of three runners). Each team will provide their own race vehicle to drop off and pick up runners at designated transition areas along the course route. Ville to Ville teams will begin arriving in Greenville, SC between 3:00-8:00 pm that afternoon for a finish line celebration which will include music, food, and of course, craft brews.
