Just like the name suggests, there is no frills (aka swag) that come with this race: no shirt, no medal, self-serve water station, no chip timing. What you do get is a monthly race that is the same every month and certified. Times are posted (based on gun time) later in the afternoon. Great way to get out and run with/against other people and enjoy yourself. Well run and not fancy! and the best part is that it is only $1 cash.
The weather this particular morning was quite muggy and humid. Weather isn’t always on your side in Texas. Good thing is that I can hope for better weather next month instead of next year.
