Vaal Marathon

The Cape Gate Vaal Marathon will again start and finish at the Dick Fourie Stadium, Klipriver Drive, Three Rivers, Vereeniging.

This is a 4 race event, a 42.2 km Marathon, 21.1 km Half Marathon,  +1 10K Race and a 5 km Fun Run, with all races starting and finishing at the same venue.

42.2 km Marathon
A highlight on the road running calendar!  This two-lapper gently meanders through four suburbs of Vereeniging and has a section along the banks of the Vaal River.  While it is fair to say that the route is flat, it is by no means the easiest marathon; you will have to work the whole way.  This race also serves as a qualifier for the Comrades Marathon.

21.1 km Half Marathon
Fast, flat, single lap of the marathon route.

10K Race
Fast, flat route though a suburb of Vereeniging.  Unique one price, two entry race.  It’s the same GREAT race as every year, but we want you to bring your +1!  Bring a partner and get a special discounted price, matching race numbers, temporary licence (if needed) and a special edition interlocking +1 medal.

5 km Fun Run
Run… Walk… Fun for the whole family!
