THE CONCEPT IS SIMPLE, THOUGH NOT EASY.
Run a 0.31-mile loop at Tuthill Park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Do it 100 times. Gain roughly 90 feet of elevation each loop. You have 12 hours. That’s it. That’s the race.
THE COURSE
Start at the big tree by the bathrooms. Run down following the singletrack (or just left of it). Turn left at the little overhanging tree, then grind back up the hill — staying right of the sledding hill. Curl around the two small trees at the top and head back to the big tree. Basically, you just grind up and down.
ESSAY SUBMISSION
There is no general registration. The only way into TutHell 2027 is the essay. Tell us who you are, what drives you, and why TutHell is calling your name. This isn’t about your PR — it’s about your grit. 2026 set new course records and raised $5,200 for charity. 2027 is going to hit harder.
100% TO CHARITY
TutHell costs are fully covered by the organizers. Entry is free. Every runner makes a donation pledge to the pot. The winning male and female runners each choose a charity — and the entire pot goes directly to those charities. No fees. No overhead.
