The Cytiva Top of Utah Marathon held in Logan Utah is a USA Track & Field sanctioned race held on a BQ race course that is the flattest race course in Utah with a course grade at or near 0%. Runners enjoy a safe and open route along the Logan River Trail and Logan River Golf Course, on wide-open country roads through scenic wetland areas, surrounded by the spectacular views of the beautiful Cache National Forest and Wellsville Mountain Range. The weather at 7:10am is typically in the 45-55 degrees range, with always a chance of rain.
The exciting downtown Logan start and finish on Historic Center Street is a favorite for elite athletes, runners and spectators. We completely close down the city block from 100 West to Main Street, so everyone can safely arrive, race, mingle and eat afterwards, and return to cars parked closely by. Our urban city route provides an open path through the west-side of Logan and Cache Valley. All races start and finish on a strait-forward 6-block stretch down Historic Center Street.
For this race, there’s no need to wake up at 3:30 am to catch a bus. Everyone will enjoy the frequent support stations, awesome pacers, visible course signage at every turn, cool photos on the course and finish line, accurate timing and instant race results.

This was my first marathon. I was a bit nervous I would get lost or need more water than provided (I did drink about 1L on my hydropack). They had plenty of bathrooms along the way along with aid stations. Volunteers were so friendly and encouraging and the course was well marked. I did get a but nervous when I encountered a crowd for a local festival that the course took us through, but that has more to do with my speed than anything (if I was faster I could have avoided it). The run is just beautiful and even has a short dirt road section and plenty of soft shoulder to run in to keep your knees happy. I managed to run the course without music (couldn’t get my pandora or Amazon music to load) and never was bored because of the scenery. I loved running by all the cows, horses, and mountains! And the last 3.5 miles take you along a beautiful shaded path and water, just so peaceful! Oh and the medal! It is spectacular! Highly recommend! I will definitely sign up for the 2022 marathon! (Got to break my PB, and only time, next year!)
