Tooele Turkey Trail Trot ​’Til You Drop

Come test your endurance with us on the beautiful Jacob City Trail, of the Oquirrh Mountains! How many loops can you complete in under 1 hour per lap (4 miles & 1,300 ft of vert)?!?

A new lap will start every hour i.e. 8:00 am, 9:00 am, 10:00 am, etc….

If you do not finish the lap in under 1 hour, you are eliminated from the race!

If you finish your lap in 45 minutes, you get 15 minutes to recoup before going out for your next loop; if you come in at 59 minutes, you get just 1 minute before you have to go out for your next lap!

Can YOU make it the whole 10 hours/10 laps?

This event will surely test your mettle, and YOU WILL earn you many guilt-free leftover Thanksgiving dinners!

The Course
The course takes place on the lower portions of the Jacob City Loop Trail system. Beginning at an elevation of 5,800 ft, runners wil head south, then southeast, climbing a steep, gnarly, rough, and rocky ATV trail, up to the main Jacob City Rd. At mile 2, after having climbed 1,300 ft, you will head north/northwest, down the Jacob City Rd, back to the Start/Finish, descending 1,300 ft. Even laps, will be clockwise, taking you up the Jacob City Rd, then back down the gnarly ATV trail. The high point of the course will be at ~7,000 ft elevation.
