The Mummy

The Mummy is is an EXTREMELY tough trail race event that has lots of ups and downs on a wide variety of different types of trails It is a two loop course for the marathon and one loop for the half. Both races start at 8 a.m. at Fallasburg Park in Lowell, Michigan.

There are two bathroom buildings located by the start/finish. No shower facilities but a nice shallow (knee high) river that you will run through it on each loop to complete the loop. Marathoners will get a hoody and all runners will get a tee and finisher swag award, finisher medal and chance to pick award off the winner table. YOU will come home with SWAG! Awards to top finishers and age group placers will be given out at finish line. Half Marathoners and Full Marathoners will get a trophy just for finishing and a finisher towel!!!

Once in Fallasburg Park walk down to picnic site B-3. It is by the river where the start and finish line is. One nice aid station at half way on the loop and two other tables with water jug will be out on the course. This is an August marathon but it is mostly wooded and 20 degrees cooler than what the air temp. says it is out, so don’t worry about the heat. Bring a water bottle to carry.
There are no wild animals to worry about, just mosquitoes if you start walking. We usually get 50 marathoners and about 100 half marathoners.

TIME LIMIT for Marathon Runners is 10 Hours, so if you run a road marathon in 3 hours, plan on 4 hour+ on this course.
