Course Description
30K & 50K & 50M in the scenic Cleveland National Forest and Santa Ana Mountains. Enjoy spectacular views and sunny skies! The course highlights include sweeping vistas of Southern California’s wilderness, exposed ridgelines, and demanding climbs that test even the most seasoned trail runners. With significant elevation gain, self-sufficiency is key, as the remote nature of the trails requires careful planning and preparation. Aid stations provide support along the way, but runners are encouraged to embrace the challenges of the course and the wild beauty of the surrounding landscape.
**Due to the 2024 Airport Fire, the Cleveland National Forest is currently closed. We are fairly confident the forest will open by September 20, 2025, but may have to default to a backup date which is outside the current forest closure window. We expect a decision in the Spring once the winter rains have come and gone and an assessment can be made. All registered runners will auto defer to the backup date or be issued a 100% Aravaipa Race Credit if the primary date is not feasible**
