Always a great course with plenty of parking, but it didn’t feel as fun as years past. Maybe it’s because it didn’t seem to have as many participants as before. I suspect a lot of runners who would normally run a turkey trot around here chose instead to go to Calabash, which I will seriously consider for next year. One look at the quality medal they give out compared to the cheap trinket and school fair ribbons given in Surfside is reason enough.
