Stumpy Pond Half Marathon Trail Race (fka Mill Stone Half Marathon)

The Stumpy Pond Half Marathon Trail Race is a challenging trail race located at the ASC Greenway in Fort Mill, SC. There will also be an 8K option.

If you are thinking that this race will be on pavement or groomed paths like many urban parks called greenways, that is not the case. The ASC Greenway is a 3000-acre natural area and the races will consist of almost all single-track, technical trails. You should have some trail running experience before this race, and there are many opportunities to check out the course with the Rock Hill Striders.

The Stumpy Pond Half Marathon replaces the Mill Stone Half Marathon, which was run for many years from the Rush Pavilion. The Stumpy Pond course will start at a different location on the Greenway.

Due to some construction at the Greenway, there was a chance we would not be able to have the half marathon at the Pavilion, so we began to search for alternatives. Although it turns out the Pavilion will be open, we decided to change things up and offer the race at a very different location
