This Thanksgiving 5K is organized by the Palmyra Ice Hockey Club, which uses “Sticks” and “Biscuits” as hockey slang for the puck.
The Sticks & Biscuits is one of the most successful Thanksgiving Day 5Ks in Central PA. In order to give all participants the best possible experience, this year’s race will offer two waves, an 8am start and a 9am start. Currently there are no restrictions on size but if the state mandates limits that could change. We will also offer the option of racing virtually for people who are not comfortable racing in person, not in the area, or after the in person field is full. Entries received by midnight on November 4th also get our famous long-sleeve tech shirt! After 11/4, shirts will be given away first come first serve. This year’s race helps fund the Palmyra Ice Hockey Club and also benefits local charities.
Amenities:
– Chip Timing (Start and Finish) with disposable chips
– Online results updated during race
– Certified, Fast, Flat Course (USATF PA 14051WB)
– Post-Race food and drink
– 5K entries rec’d by November 4th get our famous Long-Sleeve Sticks & Biscuits
– Dri-Fit “Tech” Shirts guaranteed for entries (shirts will be distributed on a first-come basis for entries received after 11/4)
Note: This race comes close to selling out in advance every year, so on-line registration is strongly recommended (online registration is easier and faster if you have birthdates and shirt sizes ready for all family members you are registering for the event).
