I love Brazen Races. I’ve never been disappointed by them. The event organization is tight and perfect every time. This was particularly fun getting to watch the kid’s fun run right before the 5k and my FAVORITE part was the spectators that sat outside of their houses cheering on the runners! It felt so communal and made it all the more worth it to run harder and better. I achieved my best time yet at this race. There were a couple of small hills that I really had to push through but mostly the course was nice and spacious and relatively easy.

I love this race. Lots of fun, and lots of red, white, and blue. I pushed my grand babies in a twin stroller, and they had so much fun (as much fun as an almost 1-year old can have.). The thing I think I love the most, aside from the amazing Brazen atmosphere, are the the people in the surrounding neighborhoods. They come out in full force to cheer on the runners. This is really cool. I mean, we are running through their neighborhood right? 🙂 Anyway, this is a super fun way to start your 4th. Also, there is a cool parade that happens right after the race ends.

I do love an inaugural race!!!!

This was the first year that the Stars and Stripes was actually a Brazen race, previously they just offered timing for the race. Brazen kept the great feel of the race and just made it a bit better with easier bib pick up, great shirts and medals and a smoother pre-race experience.

The race its self is still a fun family event and is a great way to start off the 4th of July holiday. A nice, easy course with tons of kids and families running feels about as apple pie as you can get these days!

This race is really fun. What better way to start off your Independence Day than to run a fun 5k. Of course Brazen puts on the best of the best races, and this one is no exception. There is really easy parking at the start, and a super fun kids run around the park before the race. Also, when you run through neighborhoods, people come out of their house to cheer you on.
Definitely shouldn’t miss this race. And if you go, dress in your best red white and blue. After all, it is 4th of July!!
    This race is #111 approved!

This race was super fun, but not your typical Brazen trail race. This course was flat with a couple of small concret hills. You run in the neighborhood of Concord, which was a nice change of pace to see spectators coming out of their houses to cheer you on. I would recommend this race for those friends who love road races and also love Brazen Racing. Shoutout to Stomper from the Oakland A’s who greeted runners at the very end! 🙂

First time running this event and I have to say it is now my new 4th of July tradition. It’s a great way to start off the holiday. This 5k race takes place in Concord and starts and ends at Todos Santos Park. It runs through the streets of Concord and is all pavement. There is also a kids run about .5 mile around the park. Stomper, the Oakland A’s mascot, was there to run with the kids. All kids received a small medal, too.
There were two aid stations stocked with water and sports drink. All the finish, the food consisted of fruit, sweet and salty snacks, bagels, and It’s It ice cream sandwiches.
This was a big race with about 1200 participants, but it was fun and I will definitely run it next year. Many people were dressed up in red, white, and blue attire and many ran with flags. It was a great sight to see.
Brazen put on an A+ race. All finishers receive a medal and a shirt.
You can follow up this race with the parade that is hosted by the City of Concord.

The race was fun and family orientated I usually do the Run San Ramon 4th of July race but I am streaking Brazen so had a chance to experience a new location. Registration was easy as usual picked up my bib on race day no lines. There was plenty of free parking and the race started on time. The course was simple a nice run through Concord. If your looking for a nice local 4th of July 5k that’s well organized (There was also a fun kid run available before the 5k), then I would recommend this race in Concord.

I wasn’t expecting a ton out of this race, but it was a nice little race!

A nice course through the neighborhoods around downtown Concord, good selection of post-race snacks, nice looking t-shirts, a free movie ticket for the local theater, plenty of parking – and amazing timing from Brazen Racing.

There was also a $5 Pancake Breakfast that looked yummy but I didn’t get a chance to try. And the Concord 4th of July Parade starts not long after the race ends if you can hang around for that.
