– Bib pick up is easy. On the first day of the pick up there was an organized run, and HOKA sponsored the run providing running shoes for folks to try out!
– Actual race swag was just a t-shirt (no medal), but post race festivities were great: Brewed root beer, beer, grilled cheese, Bear Paw wraps, water, Kaladi’s Brothers. They were also throwing out swag to the crowd!
– route was mostly flat. The typical Alaska hills, but nothing crazy. Weather was chilly initially, but over all perfect running weather. Aid stations were water and gatorade.

Starting a race so late in the day, yet having the Alaskan “twilight” is really special. The course is great, running over the bridge with the view of the mountains across the water is great (this was the original course, for 2021 there were modifications for COVID – hopefully it returns to the original format when it is safe to!). The afterparty cannot be beat.
