Far in the distance, away from the bright lights of the Strip, this annual Las Vegas Turkey Trot runs along an old railroad line through Lake Mead Recreation Area. Runners pass through the Six Tunnels to Hoover Dam — a landmark that’s often depicted on the finisher’s medal. Age group prizes and the custom overall awards are just as unique as the course terrain. Choose your distance, from half marathon, 12K, 5K, or 1-mile— and run or walk the Historic Railroad Trail on Thanksgiving morning. Every distance showcases views of Lake Mead, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world.

Note: There is a short walk to the start line. There is no parking at the start/finish line location. Parking will be located at the Hoover Dam Lodge Overflow Lot. We encourage participants to carpool with friends and family.
