Proud, Confident, Bold, Energetic, Loud. A Gazelle Sports Event.
We are proud of the community that we’ve built through Gazelle Girl over the last ten years! And, we’re proud of each and every woman who decided to step out and say “I can!” alongside us. Today’s moment requires boldness – we’re all a little different than we were a year and a half ago, and so is our world. The year’s event will celebrate the boldness and bravery in each woman who continues to step out and say “I can!”
We celebrate her, because she runs with confidence. She faces her challenges with fear in her pocket, but even more courage in her heart. She runs knowing that every step gets her closer to herself, her community, and her values. The energy on race day is inspiring, and the legacy of Gazelle Girl will remain. We’re ready to meet every woman where she runs – with something new, something “right now” and something that will carry us into the future.
Let’s claim our voices, raise them and shout: She Runs Grand Rapids! Let’s be loud in who we are, where each of us have come from, and where each of us are running to. Help us carry what we’ve built through Gazelle Girl into a new experience with a new name, a new date and a renewed purpose. Together with every woman, every She, who runs, let’s step out and say “I can, and I WILL”.
Join us at Calder Plaza in Downtown Grand Rapids MI.

What a fun run! A women-only half with the most beautiful course I’ve ever ran. Pretty flat, no wind, and perfect weather. It’s a smaller race, so they didn’t release in corrals which was fine. I wish they would have had more water stations and while I didn’t need one I did not notice very many bathroom stops along the way either. Only other complaint was at the end medals were not handed to you, you kind of hand to hunt them down at a tent at the end. Would definitely do this one again.
