Scott Burgess Memorial 5K Franklin, TX   Jun 7, 2025

The Scott Burgess Memorial 5k was established in 2013 to honor our own hero, SSG Scott Burgess. Scott was killed in Afghanistan in 2011 while serving in the Army’s 1st Battalion, 84th Field Artillery Regiment, 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. All of the proceeds go to a scholarship program benefiting the youth of Robertson County where Scott was raised. The race begins with a memorial speech and the playing of Taps and our National Anthem. The kids 1 mile race will immediately follow the 5K race. The results and awards will be given out right after the kids run.

The race starts and finishes in City Park – Franklin, Tx. and a full day of family fun with festival games and live music will give the family plenty of things to do so plan to stay for all of the festivities!
