Run with the Peanuts gang! This one-of-a-kind Run & Ride at Cedar Point is back for its 6th year with your choice of a half-marathon, quarter-marathon, 5K, or 1-mile fun run and the best swag around: a collectible and connectable Peanuts finisher medal, awesome race swag, and a ticket to the park for race weekend! Price includes a 1-day park ticket for race weekend, Peanuts finisher medal, a fab t-shirt, parking at the park on race morning, post-race snacks, and tons of fun! And the more you race, the more you save! Bring your friends and a family along, too! The 5K and 1-mile will be run on Saturday, and the QM and half-marathon on Sunday.
Tackle a behind-the-scenes run through your favorite amusement park before they even open their gates! After the first mile you will dive into the park and through the underbelly of Gatekeeper, the world’s longest wing coaster, then wind your way through Cedar Point amusement park. Take in the sights of the coasters as they tower overhead. Don’t forget to pick out your favorite ride so you can come back and ride it later in the day. You will pass over the causeway surrounded by Lake Erie on either side and then head into downtown Sandusky for an out-and-back course along closed roads. Finish up your 13.1 miles under the finishers’ arch to cheering friends, family, and volunteers, then take to the rides!

Could you ask for anything more? You get to run alongside some of the best Roller Coasters in the world! If that weren’t enough, the medal is a roller coaster car that has a magnet on it so you can make a train if you run it multiple times. Check in was a breeze, the weather was good (other than a little rain at the very beginning), and the course is basically flat. We had a blast and got to get a ride on Steel Vengeance right after! Only downsides were the fact the swag was a black and white hat which was a tad disappointing, but not the worst thing, and the cost is a bit steep, but you are getting a park ticket, so it’s not surprising.

Packet pickup is easy. Shirt is cute and fits. Buff and magnet were nice. Hat was nice too but too large for me so I gave it to my husband who loved it. It was easy to use the eticket for both parking and park entry. The course is pretty flat. You only go through the park for about two miles. All the runners are nice and supportive to each other. The aid stations were well maintained with water, Gatorade and some gels. The only issue was that the mile markers were off between miles 4 and 11. I also didn’t get a chance to see Snoopy. After the race, check your time with the race staff. If you’re age group winner you get a pint glass and park ticket.

The swag was great, tech shirt, buff and arm bands. The course started in the parking lot and went through the park (about two miles) and then went over the causeway before running through areas of Sandusky. Other runners and I found the course to be mis-marked around mile six but then got back on track around mile ten. At the finish line you can get a hug from Snoopy before riding coasters at one of the best amusement parks in the world. What’s not to like?
