Most of us repeat runners continue to forget how tough the trail section is, as it’s covered in roots (sprayed red so to warn us), low hanging tree branches and occasional thick mud from the rain. The RD and volunteers truly make this a spectacularly fun event, the most fun you can have while running in August in FL! You quickly forget how hard you worked as you remember the fun you had with great friends. Post-race meal is wonderful, too!

This timed race occurred on a beautiful and flat trail near the ocean. Without a doubt, one of the best times I’ve had because of the awesome volunteers and participants. Each lap was approximately 9/10th of a mile with an aid station stocked with watermelon, pickles, baked goods and other delicious treats. I was able to camp before and after the race. Being so close to the ocean, I was able to take a post race swim under the stars. Had an amazing time. Definitely doing this race again.
