Ride & Run in the Spanish Peaks! Be a part of Life Time’s inaugural event in the remote and rugged Spanish Peaks this October. Deep in the Southern Colorado plateau lies an untouched plethora of gravel unlike any other. The towering Spanish Peaks and expansive mesas serve as the backdrop for the unique courses of the ‘Rad Dirt Fest.
The off-road cycle race will offer three distance options for athletes on fast, fun and clean gravel; a short 38-mile loop with 2,720 feet of elevation gain, a 90-mile course with 5,000 feet of climbing and a 162-mile grind with 10,800 feet of elevation gain. In its inaugural year, the trail run will take athletes on two scenic routes on the outskirts of Trinidad; an approachable half marathon option with 1,000 feet of elevation gain and a 50k route with 3,200 feet of climbing. As the town evolves and grows their trail network, the trail running courses will also evolve, allowing The ‘Rad to grow alongside the town of Trinidad.
Each route presents a unique challenge and beauty of its own. Jump in and see for yourself, it’s gonna be ‘Rad. Join us in Trinidad, Colorado, for an eclectic off-road adventure.

The volunteers at this race were phenomenal, but other than that, this race was a disaster. They advertised this race as a trail race (it says so on the shirts and online), but not a single step was on an actual trail. We were on an asphalt road for 95% of the race for an out and back run, and then on a dirt road for maybe a mile. I took off work for this race and was extremely disappointed in the course. I could run on an asphalt road at home
