Portage Winter Blast Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

The annual Portage Winter Blast Half Marathon, 10K and 5K, is presented in partnership with the Kalamazoo Area Runners (KAR) and the City of Portage. Join in this extraordinary community celebration of health and wellness. The half marathon, 10k and 5k courses highlight the Portage Trail Way System and include a mix of mostly flat paved bike trail and roads.

All running events start and end at Loy Norrix High School. Events will begin at 8:00 a.m. with the half marathon. The 5k will begin at 8:10 followed by the 10k at 8:20. The half marathon will close registration once it attains its cap of 1,500 participants. Cut-off time to be included in half marathon results is 3 hours, 45 minutes. Roads will be re-opened at 12:00 noon.

Awards will be given to first place male and female overall open, masters, grand masters, senior masters and five year age division awards for first place in all three events. Finisher medals will be given to all half marathoners, 10K, and 5K finishers!
