Pocantico Hills Marathon & Half Marathon

Come run the Pocantico Hills Marathon or Half Marathon in Rockefeller State Park! These single loop courses are rolling and hilly with views of the Hudson River and Palisades. Run past fields, stone walls and bridges, lakes and streams, forests and grazing livestock!

This race is a benefit for the Friends of Rockefeller State Park Preserve, Run Wild, Inc., and the NYNJ Trail Conference. 50% of the registration fee can be used as a tax deduction.

This challenging and beautiful course begins and ends at the Rockwood Hall portion of the park overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades. This is just off Rte 9 in Sleepy Hollow, next to Phelps Hospital. Both the half marathon and marathon are single loop courses almost entirely on wide groomed carriage roads, and the marathon visits just about all of the signature aspects of the Park Preserve with a ton of scenic views. The course CLIMBS A LOT, rocking and rolling past fields, stone walls and bridges, grazing livestock, rivers, forests and lakes. No pavement and no cars on the course!

There is an 9 hour time limit for the marathon, which will cap at 500 runners this year. Walkers will start an hour before the runners start this year.

The race this year will be hosted by Run Wild, Inc., a nonprofit of race directors who use the proceeds from their races to support land conservation in the Hudson Valley.
