Pioneer Spirit 50M

Pioneer Spirit has been one of the most challenging races in trail running around Northern California. This hot summer race is now moving to the spring and with new distance options. We are also stoked to be hosting the USATF 50 MILE TRAIL CHAMPIONSHIPS on this course. That is right, this race will serve as the 2020 USATF 5o MILE CHAMPIONSHIP. Come out and run with the best runners in the country.

From Cool to Folsom; this course follows the Nineteenth Century gold miners path along the North Fork of the American River. This path was worn in by miners in search of a good sand bar for gold panning.

Eventually their path would become known as the Pioneer Express Trail: the most express route from the gold fields along the American river to Folsom.

All distance for this race will end at Beals Point Recreation Area.All of the distances follow a point to point course. Shuttle cost is included in the Marathon and 50 mile race. Half Marathon Runners will have the option to purchase a shuttle ride to the start area.

All runners will receive a plaid flannel shirts, finishers medal, and much more schwag from our sponsors. Also, 50 mile finishers will receive a embroidered finishers jacket.
