Peaks of Otter Christmas Classic

Join runners and walkers of all ages and abilities for the Peaks of Otter Christmas Classic 5K, a central Virginia holiday tradition. Children are also invited to participate in the “Peaks Junior” 1 Mile. Proceeds support the Bedford Area YMCA’s Financial Aid program. This event is known for its friendly faces, caroling volunteers, and fun post-race celebration with a cinnamon roll! The Town of Bedford Christmas Parade is traditionally held just after the event.

This race has been dedicated to the previous race director Sabrina Bugay-Willis, wife and mother to Kevin Willis and Hanna. This is the 21st year since she was killed in an accident. We will be taking a moment on that day to remember her as we start the race with the sound of a horn. I am sure she will hear it.
