Panama Canal International Marathon

The Panama Canal International Marathon 2012, opens a new route that will take the Cinta Costera, the banks and the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal.

It will be 42 kms of a beautiful route and 1,250 runners are expected to participate. The Club de Corredores del Istmo and its sponsor, ADIDAS, plan a race with runners from all over the world. More than 30 Venezuelan runners, equal number of Colombians, and Europe have already confirmed another twenty runners.

The 42 kms will start at 5 a.m, the relays with more than 50 teams of 8 riders each will start at 5:30. The great half marathon race with 21 kms will start at 6:40 in the morning. “All this stipulated so that the winner of the 42km Marathon will be the first to enter the finish line.”

Adidas will deliver t-shirts to all registered with technology so that runners stay comfortable with the weather and the route. Everyone who reaches the finish line will have a commemorative medal for the event.
