Palmetto Half Marathon proceeds have always gone to charity. The event started out with just one Charity Beneficiary, but in 2013, we expanded our financial support to even more groups within our community. The Charity Partner Program presents a variety of opportunities for local organizations to gain exposure and raise funds. Please take a moment to learn more about how your group can get involved.
All 5K and Half Marathon participants are invited to walk or run in honor of Amanda Peake Glover. Amanda, a dedicated wife and mother of four, was only 32 years old when she collapsed after crossing the finish line of the 2015 Palmetto Half Marathon. We want to pay tribute to her zeal for life at this year’s event. Please click below to learn more about the APG – Live Life Loud memorial fund.

Rolling hillls were challenging (mostly because I don’t train on hills). Pizza at finish line was delicious! Plenty of good parking and portable toilets. No mile markers on course. Awards were a little “different” – a small piece of unfinished 2 x 4 wood with a palm tree stamped on it. Unfortunately, there was a lot of automobile traffic on the course, more than I remember the 2 previous times I’ve run this race.
