The first of four St. Patrick’s Day themed O’races starts and finishes outside Kinsmen Brewing Company, just steps from the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail. A fast 3.1 mile course through rural roads in Southington and Cheshire brings runners back to the festivities at the brewery and taproom. This party of a road race is not to be missed – costumes always encouraged!
Swag includes St. Paddy’s themed knit beanie. Participants 21+ (with ID) also enjoy an ice cold craft beer from Kinsmen Brewing and everyone re-fuels with fresh hot pizza from Sauced at Kinsmen.
Lucky Challenge – Participate in all four O’races and earn the big bling! Check out the options for virtual/in-person combos to achieve the Lucky Challenge goal. Start with O’Shenanigans, then take on the Courthouse O’Putnam, O’Niantic and either the O’Hartford 5K or 10K.
Li’l Lucky – Love the idea of a challenge but can’t swing two weekends of 5Ks in a row? Join the Li’l Lucky and sign up for any two of the four St. Paddy’s themed races. All Li’l Lucky participants will earn a finisher medal.

I love these Paddy’s Day races. They’re very well organized, plenty of portolets, course support, food, and beer. Course was nice and flat with one water station. Volunteers and local police were at every intersection making sure runners were safe from cars, even though the roads were closed. There was a collection for non-perishable food for the local food bank too. At the finish, you got pizza and beer from the local pizza place and brewery, which was awesome. The brewery also had a live band. It was actually snowing during the race, but it was still fun.
