Area cyclists are invited to pedal their wheels for a good cause at the 14th annual “Ride to Provide”. The event offers three challenging bike routes – 26 miles, 42 miles and 62 miles that will take you throughout Hamilton, Meigs and Bradley County. A total of three SAG stops are provided for riders along with a sweep vehicle for those who may have issues with their bicycle. Registrations begins at 7:00 am and the ride will begin promptly at 8:30am. Lunch is included with your registration fee along with a long sleeve t-shirt. OAC offers many different lunch options that I’m sure will please everyone who participates in the event. All participates must wear a helmet.
The event raises money to provide valuable services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities served by Open Arms Care. The team at Open Arms Care strives to make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities by offering 24 hour a day residential care, along with vocational and other services. All services are geared toward the specific needs of each individual client. Services include a safe home that promotes individual growth and development, as well as a day program that includes work and volunteer opportunities in a learning and therapeutic environment.
