Revolution Running presents the annual #onemileatatime 24 hour challenge. This years event will be just $15. You will also have the option to purchase a T Shirt and a buckle (if you believe you can run 100 miles). This is different than the usual 24 hour race format and we believe it will be much more challenging so please read the rules below. This race format is inspired by our friend Jerome Scales who lost his battle to cancer and who often used the hashtag #onemileatatime. The event will be held on beautiful private property in Griffin, Ga. There will be no aid station other than water so bring your own supplies and crew. We believe this take on the 24 hour run will be very unique, fun, and challenging. Come run anywhere from 1 mile to 100 miles and hang out and have a great time with friends.
Race Rules
You will have exactly 15 minutes to run a 1.05 mile beautiful trail loop around the pond. Once you have completed the loop you can not start the next loop until the end of the 15 minutes. You must be present in the start line corral when the bell goes off or you are out. Should be really easy until it’s not anymore as you only have just a few minutes to do what you need to do before the start of the next 15 min segment. We think this is a really warped and demented twist on the 24 hr and last man standing format. If you do make it the full 24 hours you will have completed 100 miles. If more than 1 person makes it all 24 hours then the tie will be settled with a race around the loop one last time and the fastest runner gets the win. The trail is a very flat non technical easy loop around the pond. If you choose you can order a t-shirt and if you want to call your shot and pay for a buckle you can order one of those as well. Designs for the buckle and t-shirt will be available soon. After you are done running hang out for a beer and heckle other runners.
