Oil Creek 100 Trail Runs Titusville, PA   Oct 10, 2026

Run in the valley where the world’s first oil boom began in 1859 when “Colonel” Edwin Drake drilled the first commercial oil well and the reason John D Rockefeller amassed much of his fortune.

The Oil Creek 100 Trail Runs starting at Titusville Middle School and runs on a 50K loop course primarily on the rugged single-track Gerard Hiking Trail of Oil Creek State Park.

50k, 100k, and 100mile will receive belt buckles for finishers awards. 25K will receive an award to be determined.

About the Area
The Oil Creek Valley is the site of the world’s first commercial oil well. Oil Creek State Park tells the story of the early petroleum industry by interpreting oil boomtowns, oil wells, and early transportation. Scenic Oil Creek carves a valley of deep hollows, steep hillsides, and wetlands.
