INTRODUCING MOSES
According to the bible, Moses held out his staff and the Red Sea parted. The Israelites walked on the exposed ground and crossed the sea. Twice each day the Bay of Fundy tides pull away billions of tonnes of sea water from the shores of Five Islands, Nova Scotia. On a rare day each summer, there is a tide ‘low enough’ for 1000 people to run across the ocean floor
The 10KM race starts at the same time as the 5KM but in a unique location—the east side of Economy Mountain in Soley Cove. This route will showcase some of the most breathtaking tidal landscapes while still encompassing the muddiest areas of the 5KM trail, as it ends at Five Islands Lighthouse Park, the same finish line as the other races.
Due to the timing of the tides, this race must be complete within 90 minutes.
