This felt more like a running club meetup than a race, although the elements for a chip timed event were there. I was the only one who did the 15K that day (3 laps of the 5K course) so I naturally walked away a winner. It was billed as a costume-friendly event but no one bothered to dress up as a ninja, so the theme idea really went nowhere other than appearing in the finisher medal.
