It’s a Full Day of Multisport Racing! Join for a full day of multisport racing at Trivium Racing’s season finale! The morning will kick off with an On-Road Triathlon and Duathlon and the afternoon is the Off Road Triathlon. Not only will this make for more space for each race, it will also give people a chance to compete in both races for our Double Trouble Award! If you have not had the chance to race at Lake Brandt Marina, this is an amazing race venue.
On Road Triathlon: A sprint triathlon swimming 800 meters, then cycling 12.5 miles on the rolling hills outside of Lake Brandt Marina, and finishing with 3.25 miles of road running in the adjoining neighborhood. Water temps race morning should be wetsuit legal, but not freezing cold.
Duathlon: Duathletes will run 2 miles in the neighborhood adjacent to the marina, jump on their bikes for 12.5 road miles of cycling on the same bike course as our triathletes, and then they will run 3.25 miles on the road to finish the race!
Motus Off Road Triathlon: This is a sprint triathlon swimming 800 meters, then mountain biking the trails around Lake Brandt for 14.5 miles, and finishing with a tough 5K running on the Nat Greene Trail. Lake Brandt is usually extremely calm water and a great open water swim. The afternoon swim will allow for easy sighting. Athletes will bike on Greensboro’s iconic Wild Turkey and Owls Roost trails and then finish by running on Nat Greene’s Trail!
* If trails are closed on race day due to wet conditions, racers will have option to switch to road race or off-road aquathon.
