Every single person involved with this race was kind and fun. From the folks who helped me with registration logistics over email, the pacers in sparkly skirts giving out encouragement all 13.1 miles, the folks helping navigate traffic who gave me post race croissant recommendations, the announcer cheering people on…literally everyone brought great energy, joy, and kindness. The wine after the race added to the fun environment and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the wineries present! Having done other races in the Bay area that cost about the same but without that level of quality that this race had including road closures and clear safety measures in addition to the post race party/support, I felt that this race really was worth the drive and cost.
The rolling hills and some of the roads were tough and the route at many times was quiet as we ran by neighborhoods and wineries, but it was still gorgeous scenery! Highly recommend this race!

The race itself was beautiful and I’m happy I signed up for it! That being said, there’s a few things outside of the race itself that could be improved.
The lines for the port-a-potties before the race were ridiculously long! I almost missed the start of the race – thankfully I took the shorter line that was for the port-a-potty that was not stabilized and shaky when you were inside. A risk I was willing to take!
Next, there weren’t enough snacks from the promoting companies for everyone, which was a bummer.
Lastly, they let a car drive on the course while we were running which was really frustrating. I had to increase my speed in order to get past them and away from their exhaust fumes.

Well organized new race with wine!

Well-organized, especially since this was the first year. Packet pick up line was not too long. T-shirt is not tech, which is a little disappointing, but reasonable for the cost of registration. Course starts in downtown Napa and then continues onto rolling hills near vineyards. Not many spectators along the course, but a nice route. Wine festival at the finish with free finishers glass and live music. Lines for wine were a bit long — hope they get more vendors/pouring stations for the next race.
