Mojave Marathon

The Mojave Marathon began six years ago. On April 21, 2012 two friends ran a 26.2 miles course in 105 degree heat in the desert, and the Mojave Marathon was born. Since that day in the desert, we’ve had great events. Every year is different. A different course, a different goal. All organized by and supported by volunteers. The event is focused on the runner and a great day for families and supporters too.

Same amazing course as for 2019. 18 miles of it will be on the absolutely beautiful Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). The other 8 miles will be pavement on scenic backroads in the picturesque rural Mojave/Tehachapi area. There will be four out-and-back tentacles to the course with a central hub. You can run the tentacles in any order you wish.

The desert makes for a beautiful and challenging venue. The weather is unpredictable. The event is always extraordinary.

Every year, profits from the marathon are donated to Mojave community development projects. Last year’s event raised over $8,000 for solar street lighting, to make the community safer and more secure.
