The directors of Activate Oklahoma are excited to bring back your favorite ultra race to Tulsa. This year’s event has an exciting new twist – be one of the first few people to run across the Arkansas River using the new Williams Crossing Pedestrian Bridge after dark!
Midnight Madness includes distances for most everyone – 5K Ultra (3.2 miles), 10.5 miles, 50K, 50 Miles, and 100 Miles. The generous time limit is perfect for walkers, hikers, joggers and fast runners.
We heard you loud and clear! Since we like to accommodate everyone, we have added both a 5K and 100 Mile option this year. Exciting Times!
The 5K (ish) is an out-and-back (3.2 mile) run from the start line, north to Gathering Place, across the Williams Crossing pedestrian bridge, turn around at the Riverparks West trail, then return to the start line the same way. The 5K will start shortly after midnight (after the longer distances start) and have a magnificent view of the lighted pedestrian bridge at night. You will be some of the first few people to experience Williams Crossing “after curfew”!
100 Miles – what can we say… Well, if you know us, you know it might have some odd twist. Of course it does. With the Midnight Madness 100 the first 50 miles is on your own (with verification). Your second 50 miles will be with the “regular” Midnight Madness 50 mile runners. You should plan to start your second 50 miles with everyone at midnight. You can finish early and rest. Or you can finish late and start the second 50 miles at any time after midnight. You can’t start your second 50 before midnight.
