MIA Runway 5K at Miami Executive Airport

The MIA RUNWAY 5K SERIES to now include Miami International, Miami-Opa locka Executive and Miami Executive (formerly Kendall-Tamiami) airports, which combined are expected to host over 5,000 participants and spectators. Have you ever been on an airplane, looked out the window and said, “How cool would it be to run on the runway?” The MIA RUNWAY 5K SERIES lets you do just that, run the runway of three major airports in Miami-Dade County. The series kicked off in March at Miami-Opa locka Executive Airport (OPF), followed by Miami Executive Airport (TMB) in April. The final destination in the series is MIA, where you will have the unique opportunity to run on the 8,600-foot-long runway 8L-26R.

Home to one of the busiest general aviation airports in Florida, serving corporate, recreational, flight training, and governmental agency activities, Miami Executive Airport provides the second runway of the MIA Runway 5K Series. This race will be hosted at Wings Over Miami Museum. Wings Over Miami Air Museum serves as a tribute to those aviators and veterans who pioneered civilian and military aviation.
