Mermaid Triathlon & Duathlon Capitola Capitola, CA   Oct 4, 2025

The Mermaid Tri & Du Capitola is one of the best all women triathlons on the West Coast. The event features an ocean swim in the sheltered waters near the Capitola Wharf, a relatively flat bike course, followed by a run on the ocean bluff overlooking Capitola Village. All participants receive a stylish women’s cut shirt, custom finisher’s necklace, and post race food.

The Mermaid Triathlon & Duathlon is the longest running women’s triathlon in California. Perfect for the 1st time triathlete! Capitola offers an ocean swim around the wharf, views of the Pacific Ocean, fun bike course featuring a gradual climb into the coastal redwoods, followed by a run on the ocean bluff overlooking Capitola Village.

Sprint Aquabike: The Aquabike is a swim/bike event that does the sprint swim and sprint bike course. The Aquabike finishes in the transition zone after the bike.
