McCall Trailrunning Classic

A McCall tradition since 2012! The McCall Trailrunning Classic will take place in the Payette National Forest near Burgdorf Hotspring, on the trails of the legendary IMTUF100 original course. Choose from 30K, 50K and 50 Mile races on epic alpine Idaho singletrack.

Start/Finish at Pete Creek Trailhead and Campground (free dispersed camping), 2.5 miles north of Burgdorf Hotsprings on French Creek Road. Lots of good free and pay camping as well as lodging at Burgdorf and Secesh Stage Stop.

The 50 mile course gains around 9000′ and will be the entire old “north loop” of the original IMTUF100 course, except for using Pete Creek and summitting Bear Pete Mountain, instead of using Nethker Creek. Then on to Cloochman Saddle, Diamond Ridge, Victor Creek and the Loon Lake Loop with a visit to the shore of Loon. Then Ruby Meadows and on to the finish.

The 50K climbs 6000+’ and shares its footprint with the 50 mile and 30K.

The 30K is the ultra classic “Legend of Bear Pete” loop we ran from 2015-2019 and gains about 3500′.
