Matt’s 5K Pursuit

Every April, we remember Matt Haverkamp during the month of his birthday and support Matt’s legacy with a 5K run / walk. Matt’s 5K Pursuit is held on the beautiful grounds of Spring Grove Cemetery – the perfect setting for quiet reflection and bringing together so many people in remembrance of Matt. All proceeds from Matt’s 5K Pursuit benefit The Matt Haverkamp Foundation, which helps support local police departments in and around the greater Cincinnati area by purchasing K9s and law enforcement equipment for them.

All pre-registered will be guaranteed an event t-shirt; late registrants will receive a t-shirt while supplies last.

The Foundation is proud to have been able to purchase 93 K9’s for area police departments over the past 17 years. In 2022 we assisted eight police departments by funding seven narcotics detection/patrol dogs, one explosive detection/patrol canine and five protective vests totalling over $93,680. We have multiple requests for assistance in 2023; your support and participation will help us meet their needs.
