Marathon of the Americas

The marathon begins at “the Alamo” and finishes inside the Alamodome. The single loop course tours the Historical Missions, The Alamo, El Mercado, Plaza de Armas, Hemisfair Park-Tower of the Americas, King William Area, Pioneer Mills, Old Lone Star Brewery, Mission Concepcion, Mission San Jose, Mission Espada, and Mission San Juan Capistrano along the San Antonio River. MInor changes are being to accommodate traffic patterns. The revised course is being USATF certified.

The Half Marathon race also begins at “the Alamo” and finishes inside the Alamodome. The course will follow the Marathon course and then break away to head for the Alamodome.

The 5K Mayor’s Challenge & 5K Fitness Run both start together at Alamo Plaza in front of the ALAMO. Course goes west to Milam Plaza & Market Square then circles back through Houston Street by the historic Majestic Theater back to the ALAMO then around Hemisfair Plaza to finish inside the Alamodome.
