Welcome to the ultra party of the summer. Loopy Looper, Presented by HOKA, is held at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, NJ on a fast and flat loop that has great views of the Philadelphia skyline and the lake. The loop is 3.75 miles long, fully paved with about 100m worth of rubber track.
With easy access to your personal pit area, great custom race swag, a fully stocked aid station, and passing a Wawa on course this is both perfect for beginners and for someone looking to throw down some big numbers. This is one of the fastest timed and looped courses in the country! Come out and find your finish out on the loop.
Format
We have individual 12 & 24 hour races, 12 & 24 hour 4-person relays, and the 101.25 mile race.
Runners will have the allocated time to run as many laps of the 3.75 mile loop around Cooper River Park as you want. Partial laps will not be counted in any formats. Additionally, no new laps will be allowed to start as of 30min before the race ends (ie. 6:30 PM for the 12 hour and 6:30 AM for the 24 hour), and all loops MUST be completed by 7:00 AM/PM
100 Mile runners have a hard 30 hour cutoff at 1:00 PM Sunday. You must complete 21 laps (78.75 miles) by 7am to be allowed to continue. To be a finisher you must complete 27 loops of the course. You are NOT counted as a finisher unless you cross the finish line for your 27th lap.
Relay Teams
New to ultras and want to run some loops with your friends? Want to get your run club together to see how many miles you can rip in 12 or 24 hours? The Loopy Looper relay is the spot for you.
Teams of 4 will run the loop in a relay-style, with a maximum of 1 runner on the course at any time. Teams can still take breaks like individual runners and the finisher rules below also apply to relay teams. It’s up to you how you split up your mileage for the day as a team.
Last Lap Exception: Teams are allowed to run their last lap all together to celebrate the day, but this is the ONLY lap you can do, and it has to be the last lap of the day. This isn’t mandatory, but we HIGHLY recommend it.
