Are you ready for the annual Long Beach Classic Half and 5K?! The Long Beach Classic is Long Beach’s favorite half marathon and 5K, hosted at the beautiful Marine Stadium. Besides a fast, flat, scenic course, you’re going to love our after party, the Michelob Ultra Wine, Sip, Savor Festival.
The Festival brings you good times with multiple beverage options, live music, and everyone’s favorite, In N Out Burger! Every half marathon finisher receives an entry into the festival. 5K Runners, friends and family have an option to purchase a ticket to the festival.
The Long Beach Classic Half Marathon starts and finishes at Marine Stadium in Long Beach, CA. Originally built for the 1938 Olympics, Marine Stadium is host to events year-round including Long Beach Rowing Center, wakeboarding, Dragon Boat Festival, Drag boat Races and much more.
The Half Marathon takes participants on through the Alamitos Bay area, down the world-famous 2nd Street and Belmont Shore area and along the Long Beach coastline. The half marathon is one of the most scenic courses on the west coast.

This one is in my backyard so how could I not participate? A bit disappointed that the course was just out and back given so many options for a 5k distance but there is also some construction so that could change next year. Well organized, though I tried to get some answers via email for things not mentioned on the site or in their e-blast messages (will there be same day bib pick-up, gear check, etc) with no response. SWAG – not why I run, but the shirt was nice (fit and design) and the medal was super cute too!
What I wouldn’t do again next year – unless there are some major changes – is pay for the “wine, sip and savor” festival. Just one additional vendor with sangria/wine in addition to the standard Ultra beer – one other was there but for additional fee and the only food was tacos (yum… except there was NO option for vegetarians). For an additional $30 I expected MORE!
