Whether you’re looking to set a new personal best 5K time or stroll along the Lakewalk and enjoy the fresh air, Law Day 5K is for you! It’s a chance to get together, get moving, and support Justice North (formerly known as Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota).
Every day, countless individuals in our communities face overwhelming legal challenges—whether it’s eviction, domestic violence, or issues related to healthcare.
Unfortunately, many of these individuals do not have the means to seek legal help. That’s where we come in. Justice North provides essential legal services, advocacy, and education to empower those who are most vulnerable.
Access to these services means that individuals and families live safer and more stable lives—and when you join for Law Day 5K, you directly fund free legal help for Justice North clients!
The 5K run/walk is a journey out and back along Duluth’s scenic Lakewalk, starting and ending at Duluth East High School. Run it, walk it, or visit the finish line to cheer everyone on!
At Justice North, we are dedicated to the principle that equal access to justice is a basic human right regardless of background or circumstances. We believe that justice should be within reach for all—and your support will allow us to continue our work to make that a reality.
Every step you take supports Justice North. Support from the community directly funds our work assisting people facing civil legal challenges. This includes the unsheltered and those at risk of losing their home, survivors of domestic violence and their children, families and seniors in need of public assistance or facing wage garnishment, and more. The legal system is complicated, and navigating many of these issues without representation can be nearly impossible. You can help bring hope to someone’s future today.
