Overall I liked this race. I did feel like more could have gone into course maintenance, at least the start where we had to run through a field that was meant to spread out the pack. Due to the high grass no one spread out because everyone was trying not to step into a hole. The field section could have also been longer to attempt to spread people out more. It took almost 1.5 miles for folks to even be able to go a real pace due to the number of ppl on the single track. Course was beautiful, some down trees that could have been cleared but also maybe those happened the day before. It was super windy. Swag Bags didn’t really have anything in them, could have just saved trees and resources by not even having them. It was chipped timed, but the start time was just based off the gun, not when the runners crossed the start line, which was strange. Overall, I enjoyed it and would probably run again!
