Kickers Endurance Run
“Wake Up And Smell The Pine Trees” at the Kickers For Kids Fun Run located at the Palmer Lake Regional Recreation Area in Palmer Lake, Colorado. The Kickers For Kids Fun Run is an event for all levels of runners and a great opportunity to just get out, exercise, and enjoy all of the beauty of the New Santa Fe Regional Trail under a nice warm Colorado summer sun.
Choose your Santa Fe Trail course of 0.82 Miles, 5K, 10K, 13.1 Miles, 26.2 Miles, 50K, 50 Miles (Solo, 3-Person Relay, 6-Person Relay) or 100K and we’ll provide you with the tools (i.e. Aid Stations, Hydration, Encouragement) to accomplish your personal distance goal. Run, Walk, or feel free to stop and take pictures of Mother Nature while on your Santa Fe Trail running journey because the Kickers For Kids Fun Run is a NO PRESSURE running event!
This event is being designed to promote recreational physical fitness, to showcase the beautiful Santa Fe Trail, and to help raise funds to purchase new running shoes (i.e. Kickers) for our budget constrained little runners. All proceeds (minus event expenses) from the Kickers For Kids Fun Run will be donated to the Landsharks Running Club of Colorado Springs so they can continue to aid families whose children are interested in pursuing the sport of running. As we all know, a good pair of running shoes is every runner’s best friend!
Please Note: A portion of the 26.2 Mile, 50K, 50 Mile (Solo, 3-Person Relay, 6-Person Relay), and 100K courses run through the U.S. Air Force Academy and they have the authority to close this section of the Santa Fe Trail without notice. In the event of a trail closing, an alternate challenge route will be designed and communicated to all runners.
Aid Stations
There will be Aid Stations placed about every 3-5 Miles on the Santa Fee Trail with a 9 Mile Gap between one Aid Station for those running the 26.2 Mile, 50K, 50 Mile (Solo, 3-Person Relay, 6-Person Relay), and 100K Courses…Enjoy!!!
Your Race Director has been a Nuun Ambassador for the last 4 years and is very proud to announce that Nuun Hydration Products will be available at all Aid Stations.
Fun Run Swag
All runners will receive an Event Shirt at packet pickup with the Kickers For Kids Fun Run logo. Runners will also receive a Finisher Award after they run, walk, or crawl across the Finish Line!
Special awards will be handed out to the first 3 Female and to the first 3 Male participants to run, walk, or crawl across the Finish Line in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each course distance.
The top Female and top Male finisher in each course distance (Excludes 50 Mile 3-Person and 6-Person Relay) will also earn FREE REGISTRATION for next year’s Kickers For Kids Fun Run so that they can defend their titles!
