Featuring a swim in the Maas river, an all-new bike course taking in the best of the South Limburg landscape, and a fan-favourite run course through the heart of the city, IRONMAN Maastricht – Limburg brings IRONMAN® racing back to The Netherlands with a bang in 2022. Enjoy the ultimate triathlon festival weekend in one of the oldest cities in The Netherlands then celebrate your achievements with an extended tour of Maastricht’s many cultural and gastronomical delights.

Swim
Meet the ‘Maas’, one of The Netherlands’ biggest rivers, which flows right through the historic city center of Maastricht. You’ll swim 3.8K (1 loop) through this beautiful river while you’re getting supported from all sides.

Bike
The completely new Bike course will take you through various beautiful hotspots in the South of Limburg. With a few small climbs and some straight roads it’s the best of both worlds.

Run
The run course will take you back to the last full distance IRONMAN in Maastricht. The course will lead you through the historic city center and shows you the most famous squares in Maastricht. After your 42.2 K run (4 laps) you’ll finish on ‘De Markt’ in the center of Maastricht.
