Reimagine your limits and experience the ultimate test of endurance in the vibrant heart of ‘Mainhattan’. The event proudly hosts the IRONMAN European Championship for both female and male age group athletes, and PRO male athletes.
Swim
The 3.8km (2.4 mile) long ROKA swim course over two laps, separated by a short Australian exit, provides a first impression of this phenomenal race in Frankfurt. Hidden deep in Frankfurt’s city Forrest, the swim kicks off with a spectacular start at the Langer Waldsee on race morning with its unique arena feeling, countless spectators and an incredible atmosphere which will certainly cause one or the other goosebump moment.
Bike
The two-loop 180 km rolling bike course offers a mix of flat and fast passages and challenging hills, and combines the picturesque landscapes of the surrounding villages with the impressive skyline of ‘Mainhattan’.
Run
An athletes favourite every year, the flat four-loop 42.2 km (26.2 mile) HOKA run course leads along the banks of the river Main in the shadow of the imposing Frankfurt skyline. As one of the most spectator-dense run courses in the global IRONMAN portfolio, this flat and fast course and the breathtaking finish line at the historic “Römer” will surely be kept in good memory by athletes for a long time.
