IRONMAN 70.3 Türkiye is one of the most celebrated triathlon events held in Belek, Antalya, known for its stunning Mediterranean coastline and rich history. The event challenges athletes with a 1.9 km swim in the clear waters of the Turkish Riviera, followed by a 90 km bike ride on flat, scenic roads, and concludes with a 21.1 km run through the impressive surroundings of Belek.
Belek is renowned for its luxury resorts and proximity to historical sites, making the event not only a test of endurance but also a unique cultural experience. Athletes from around the world come to this event to compete in ideal weather conditions, with an average air temperature of 75°F (24°C) and water temperatures around 75°F (24°C), perfect for a triathlon.
The event has become a staple in the triathlon calendar, attracting athletes who appreciate the combination of challenging courses and beautiful settings.
Swim
The two-loop 1.9 km (1.2 mile) swim course takes place in the picture-perfect and crystal clear water of the Turkish Riviera. The course features an “Australian Exit” that splits the swim in two.
Bike
The 90.1k two loop course takes you towards the Expo 2016 area, always staying on well maintained multi lane roads. There will be two laps of a 35k loop and a short distance in and out. The total elevation gain on the bike course is about 80m as the only climbs are over bridges. Please make sure to stay on the right to allow faster athletes to pass safely. Run
The run course of IRONMAN 70.3 Türkiye leads you through the most impressive parts of “The Land of Legends”. You will start straight into the shopping-mall-part of ”The Land of Legends” and follow the Venetian Channel to pass the finish line on 3 laps before turning into it at the beginning of the 4th lap.
After passing numerous cafes, cheering spots, our finish line and the expo, the course leads on to the Kadriye main road on smooth asphalt up to our turnaround point and the Red Bull Energy Station. After returning to “The Land of Legends” you will follow the picturesque road alongside the Kingdom Hotel and arrive back at transition 2 for the next loop. About 1000m into your 4th loop you will do a sharp left turn into the finish chute and then it is time to raise your hands for the perfect finish photo.
