When you race IRONMAN 70.3 Timberman, you’ll be surrounded by blue water, green forests and rolling mountains. With over 200 lakes in the area, Laconia gives you permission to escape the summer heat and enjoy some well-deserved family fun. This means racing 70.3 miles with scenic views at every turn. It also means cooling off on the beach with every water sport you can imagine. It’s the Lakes Region that makes racing in New Hampshire a beautiful getaway for those who want to compete.

Swim
The 1.2-mile freshwater lake swim takes place in clear, blue Lake Opechee which takes the athletes through water that will range from 68 to 75 degrees F.
Bike
On the scenic, out and back bike course, athletes will experience plenty of rolling hills and a few challenging climbs. The course also utilizes 3 miles of the New Hampshire Motor Speedway which hosts the only NASCAR National Series races in the region.
Run
The two-loop run course takes athletes along the edge of Lake Opechee, offering beautiful views of the mountains and rolling hills with a finish in downtown Laconia.
