This popular race takes athletes on a one-lap swim in the crystal clear Flowing Lake. After the swim, the bike and run courses take competitors along the coastline of Taitung to visit the beauty of eastern Taiwan. Visitors enjoy the laid back atmosphere, warm tropical weather, and local hospitality.

Swim
Athletes will be required to complete this 1.9km, 1 lap anti-clockwise course with a turn at the halfway point. Starting at the Flowing Lake, with its crystal clear, calm and freshwater, the venue is surrounded by the green Taitung Forest Park.

Bike
On the bike course, athletes are able to take in the breathtaking views of the Taiwan Strait and local scenic views that Taitung is well known for. Cyclists will exit transition, go straight on Taitung Embankment and make a u-turn at A point. Go up to Route No. 11, No. 9 and head south to C point, then make a u-turn.  Athletes will meet the first aid station at 30.5km and ride back to B point, then make a U-turn. Before B point, you will meet the second aid station at the 48km mark. The section of B-C-B must finish 2 laps completed. After finishing 2 laps, cyclists ride back to TA and continue to the Run course. This is a 2-loop bike course and most of the course is fully closed. Without traffic, cyclists are able to enjoy the ride safely. Aid stations are located at 30.5km, 48km, and 70.3km.

Run
Runners will exit transition and start their 21.1km run around the Forest Park and continue on Mahengheng Blvd for another anti-clockwise loop. It’s a one-loop run course and will use an aid station 10 times and collect 4 lap bands before finishing the 21.1km run course.
